This seems as good a day as any to start whining about my world these days. My wallet was stolen on Monday and it has taken me until Thursday to put the already scattered peices that is my life back together.
Thins I am learning about living in New York:
keep your ipod close, your wallet closer. Yes, my ipod too. That was a separate incident though. believe it or not, uggh. yeah, the ipod, stolen out of my pocket at a bar in the village. went to see a band and got just a little too comfortable in my surrounding and left my jacket over a chair.
The band I was seeing at Blaggards Pub... Project 222. Otherwise known as Dennis Desanctis and friends. A really good show. It's nice to hear a band sing their own songs and do it well. Tunes that are performed with heart and soul. Sampling their newly released CD Sunlight over the Hills and they threw in a Cortez to keep some of their goofier friends happy :) Dennis does the majority of the song-writing, plays guitar and croons so sweetly. Jimmy Farkis ripped it up on the guitar, giving the show a jam band feel with a bluesy edge. Jim has played with Borialis, Joss Stone. The songs are well written and the band has a great energy. Im going back for more! Bob Elliott (Drums); Phil DiGiorgio (Bass); Eric Safka (Organ, Rhodes, Clavinet, Synth) is great on the keys. Keepin my feet moving.
